Also, if the system needs to run at night, it will draw power from the supply whether it’s PV or grid and while it doesn’t run at similar power consumption of other standard units, it does draw around 0,78Kw on the 12000 BTU unit and about 1,25Kw on the 18000 BTU unit.
These units are made to order and can take up to 8 weeks to make and deliver.
As with most of this technology, these systems aren’t cheap with a price tag of around R42990 for the 12000 BTU and around R49990-00 for the 18000 version.
